Recession and NFPs

S&P 500 was duly bucking the trend of decreasing liquidity, bonds remained risk-on, and the dollar paused (hanging in there as if wanting to at least somewhat consolidate the prior gains). Just as the mood for yesterday‘s session was set and fulfilled, I urged caution for the overnight session as that‘s likely to be characterized by consolidation across the board. Importantly, copper didn‘t confirm the fireworks all that much during yesterday‘s regular session. While I‘m looking for setback in both stocks and real assets – after all, the recessionary fears (aren‘t we in one already?) are slated to steal the limelight, with the following consequences. Following Wednesday‘s Fed minutes release, the pendulum is about to shift the other way. At the same time though, the bulls do have serious potential to surprise next week (that’s the week when I’m absent as per the PS#4 Breaking Legal News announcement on my homepage), especially should the dollar retreat.
