S&P 500 rose on the Fed minutes, and I really liked the resilience leading towards it. The weakness in both paper and real assets didn‘t continue, but the strengthening dollar remains a key watchout. Well, rising yields fueling risk sentiment which will meet another reality check tomorrow on non-farm payrolls, which are likely to disappoint, coming in well below the 275K expectations, Tough spot the Fed is in, let me tell you (inflation vs. growth) – yields are likely to retreat again tomorrow, and the progress in asset prices made since yesterday, would come under scrutiny again (no matter how well copper is doing today so far). I‘ll be covering the markets going into and reacting to tomorrow‘s key data point of this week, for now enjoy the bullish positioning that‘s likely to stretch across the board till the closing bell today.
