Thanksgiving Update for Stocks, PMs, Oil, Copper and Cryptos
Happy Thanksgiving to all of your celebrating! May you enjoy the festive time in peace and harmony – and if you don’t celebrate it, enjoy the extra time off, away from the markets, with your closest ones.
Here comes a brief update on the markets before Monday’s regular analysis. S&P 500 rebound was led by tech coming alive while value held ground in the face of good daily performance across the credit markets. The reversal in HYG is particularly encouraging. Copper did fine and oil went sideways in line with expectations as the effects of rising dollar and retreating yields largely cancelled each other out in the PMs arena. Both Bitcoin and Ethereum are refusing further downswings, which bodes well for real assets. The stock market performance reveals that news of the newfound hawkish Fed rhetoric (rhetoric, that’s the key word) shouldn’t be consumed all too quickly.
No change in open trading positions is warranted – I’ll keep you updated should the light volume sessions necessitate any kind of adjustment.
